Japan's 10-year bond yield rises 10 basis points as global yields climb
The move follows a rise to a 28-year high earlier this week.

Japan's 10-year government bond yield rose 10 basis points, tracking a broader climb in yields around the world.
The move builds on an 8 basis point rise to 3.055% on Wednesday, September 23, the highest level for the yield since September 1996.
The 10 basis point move fits the broader global yield backdrop and carries no special signal for Japan on its own. The rise is a continuation of the move to a 28-year high rather than a reversal of it, driven partly by external pressure and partly by domestic policy shifts under new Prime Minister Takaichi. The structural picture for Japanese bonds remains unchanged.
