Industrials is flat overall but Boeing jumps 2.6% after the Pentagon selects it to develop the next-generation fighter jet, while Northrop Grumman sinks 5.5% within the same sector. Technology and Consumer Discretionary both edge up 0.2%, with Tesla up 0.3% after entering an $8 billion five-year credit facility alongside other new financing lines.
Factor readings are subdued, with momentum and growth barely outperforming value.
Within mega-cap growth, Meta Platforms and Oracle lead at +0.6%, with most of the cohort clustered near flat.
Workday falls 0.4% after announcing a workforce reduction of about 2.5% and reorganization charges of $65 million to $80 million, even as it reiterated fiscal 2027 guidance. Talen Energy and Lumentum Holdings lead the broader gainer list, while Equifax and Rollins lag.
